Closing the registration book for recognition of Professors and Associate Professors, what will the Council of Professors do next?

According to the schedule for considering recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025 announced by the State Council of Professors, candidates for professor and associate professor in 2025 must complete registration at the university before April 21.

June 30 is the deadline for candidates to submit their application for review at the Faculty Council and submit their application for recognition of meeting the standards to the State Council of Professors' website. Candidates from higher education institutions that do not have a Faculty Council must register and submit their application for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor or associate professor to the Faculty Council of the institution in which the candidate is applying.

From July 1 to July 22, the basic Professorial Councils will review the applications.

From August 29 to September 26, the Faculty Council of the industry and interdisciplinary departments continued to review the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor.

From October 20 to 31, the State Council of Professors met to review and recognize the qualifications for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.

In 2024, the whole country will have 111 basic Professorial Councils with 803 candidates registered for recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor; including 77 professor candidates and 726 associate professor candidates.

After that, 725 candidates were proposed by the Faculty Council for recognition as meeting the standards of professors and associate professors. In the review round of the Faculty Council, the number of candidates proposed for recognition as professors and associate professors decreased to 630 people.

In the final round of consideration at the State Council of Professors level, 615 candidates were approved by the State Council of Professors. Of these, there were 45 professor candidates and 570 associate professor candidates.
