(PLVN) - Currently, there are some KOLs and celebrities who are willing to use family images to "attract views", "attract likes", profit, and cause negative reactions in viewers. From there, they indirectly mislead young people about the value of family happiness.

Perfect images “collapse”

Most recently, a famous MC is being questioned for falsely advertising some types of milk. It is known that the male MC left an impression on the public thanks to his simple lifestyle, close to the people. He is known as an exemplary father and husband. Therefore, the powdered milk with "divine" uses such as supporting diabetes, eliminating cancer cells that this MC promotes is wholeheartedly trusted and supported by families. However, these types of milk are part of a fake milk production case that the police have just uncovered and the quality of the milk does not have the uses that the male MC advertised.

A KOL (social media influencer) named NA, famous for being a “hot mom” with an inspiring story about building a beautiful, happy family, has been accused of fraud. Specifically, in addition to being a social media content creator, NA was also involved in virtual currency scams. Most of the participants were mothers and housewives who invested in the hope that the money would make a profit. But not long after, the manager of the investment fund “disappeared”, and the women who trusted NA to invest “lost” all their money.

In fact, no matter how society and the times develop, family values ​​are still respected by all generations of Vietnamese people. Therefore, today, most media channels that make stories about family life that are genuine, close, and simple are well received by many people. Celebrities who build the image of a thoughtful, loyal, and loving husband, wife, or parent also receive the love and trust of the public. Sadly, many artists and KOLs use the "family" label to "like" and "view" or sell poor products, disappointing the audience.

Celebrity Responsibility for Guiding Young Families

Talking to reporters of the Vietnam Law Newspaper, marriage psychology consultant Tam Anh, from the Happiness Consulting and Training Joint Stock Company, said that family plays an important role in the emotional and spiritual life of Vietnamese people. When talking about family, Vietnamese people often remember the feelings of safety, happiness, and peace. Therefore, deep down, Vietnamese people always have sympathy for individuals who wholeheartedly nurture and care for their families. Grasping this trend, many Vietnamese social media content creators have built channels related to the feelings of parents and children, pregnancy, etc. This is a positive signal showing that young Vietnamese people have been preserving the traditional cultural beauty of our ancestors.

However, there are also many famous people who have successfully built the image of a thoughtful, perfect husband, wife, father, or mother. But when things "broke out", they made the audience disappointed, doubtful, and even misdirected young families. In fact, artists and famous people always influence fans in both directions. Valuable works, beautiful behavior, and kind deeds can spread widely and become good movements in the community. On the contrary, negative actions, substandard statements, and offensive behavior and products can have a bad influence on the public. Therefore, as famous people and public figures, we need to be more careful in our words and behavior.

In June 2021, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued the Code of Conduct on social networks and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also issued the Code of Conduct for artists on social networks in December 2021. However, in the face of rapid fluctuations in the online advertising market, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is amending and supplementing relevant regulations, especially the law on advertising. Accordingly, the draft Decree on advertising adds specific regulations on the responsibilities of celebrities and artists when participating in advertising. They must be legally responsible for the content of advertising and ensure the transparency and honesty of the product, so as not to affect the health and psychology of consumers in general and families in particular.
