Comrades Duong Van An - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department; Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Nguyen Minh - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the closing ceremony.
The first International Performing Arts Festival in 2023 took place over three days (December 8-10) with many unique and innovative programs and activities . The program left a lasting impression on the people of Binh Thuan province in particular and numerous domestic and international tourists in general. Notably, the festival garnered much goodwill and opened up many sustainable cooperative relationships in the field of performing arts between Vietnam and countries across the globe.
The festival brought together nearly 300 actors and artists from art troupes from 30 countries around the world. With the main stage on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and other locations throughout Phan Thiet city, the festival offered many spectacular artistic performances such as: street performances; international performances, an outdoor world peace concert and parade; symphony performances; a grand music festival... The festival also included training activities in performing arts skills for students...
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Lemisio Ponifasio, World Theatre Ambassador, said: "Throughout the festival, we have celebrated and immersed ourselves with young people, older generations, artists, cultural creators, performers, and the entire community. Performing arts have their own unique nature. This festival will be a sustainable bridge connecting Vietnamese performing arts to the world and world performing arts to Vietnam. This will open up many new hopes for cooperation and cultural development."
At the closing ceremony, a large audience enjoyed a spectacular and impressive artistic program from various art troupes. Artists from different countries gave their all on stage with performances rich in local culture, offering the audience a diverse range of cultural elements in both music and traditional dance. On this occasion, the organizing committee honored the units, organizations, and individuals who contributed to the success of the festival.
The first International Performing Arts Festival in 2023 was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province. This event was held in response to the 2023 National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan – “Green Convergence”. It aimed to enhance the spiritual life of the people and contribute to promoting cultural and tourism development in the process of integration and sustainable development of Binh Thuan province.
The festival is an opportunity to introduce to friends and tourists, both domestic and international, the unique cultural identity and performing arts essence of Binh Thuan province in particular, and Vietnam in general. Above all, the festival has laid the foundation for building a distinctive cultural and tourism brand for the province, creating a long-term and sustainable investment attraction for Binh Thuan.
