Rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the East-West route construction investment project

Delegates attended the inauguration ceremony of the East-West Highway Construction Investment Project, Ninh Binh Province (Phase I).

On the occasion of the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of the projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Provincial People's Committee organized the announcement of the decision to reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the East-West Road Construction Investment Project in Ninh Binh Province (Phase I).

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, former Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XXII, 2020-2025; leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors, unions and localities; representatives of contractors and people in the areas where the project passes through.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Pham Quoc Chinh, Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, representative of the investor, said: The East-West Road Construction Investment Project, Ninh Binh Province (Phase I) is one of the projects selected to start construction to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the name Ninh Binh (1822-2022) and the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province (April 1, 1992-April 1, 2022) on March 27, 2022.

This is an important route that creates momentum for economic, social and tourism development in the province. The project is nearly 23 km long with a total investment of VND 1,913,754 billion. The project has a particularly large construction volume with a total excavation volume of about 1.45 million m3; a total embankment volume of about 1.95 million m3, and the construction of 4 new bridges. The land acquisition scope in Tam Diep city is 6.627 km long, with 178 households and individuals affected. The land acquisition scope in Nho Quan district is 16.32 km long; the affected land area is 121.44 ha; the number of affected households is 812 households.

Up to now, after 36 months of construction, the project has completed the main items, qualified for inauguration and put into operation to serve socio-economic development and people's travel, shortening 20 months compared to the approved project schedule.

To achieve this result, first of all, there is the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, which has paid close attention, given drastic and specific direction, and promptly removed and resolved difficulties and obstacles, creating momentum and confidence for the forces participating in project implementation.

Along with that, the Investor has received the attention, coordination, drastic participation and responsibility of the agencies, departments and local authorities to support and help the Investor to solve each stage, remove arising problems in the fastest time; especially the support and consensus of the community in the project's affected area, including nearly 1 thousand households within the scope of land acquisition and clearance to implement the project; consulting units and construction contractors have made efforts to implement the project with the motto of Quality - Safety - Progress - Efficiency.

At the ceremony, 20 collectives and 68 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the East-West Road Construction Investment Project in Ninh Binh province (phase I) were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
