"Thirst for Life" donated more than 168 million VND to support Nguyen Dang Ty's family.

BPO - On April 24, the humanitarian television program "Thirst for Life" organized a connection and gave aid money to Mr. Nguyen Dang Ty in Hamlet 8, Loc An Commune, Loc Ninh District. The program was organized by Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper (BPTV), Binh Phuoc Province Association for the Support of Disabled People - Orphans and Poor Patients in coordination with Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company, Ho Chi Minh City. Ton Tan Phuoc Khanh Company is the main sponsor.

Mr. Ty's wife passed away more than 20 days ago due to melanoma that metastasized to her groin and lungs, leaving behind two young children in 5th and 2nd grade. Previously, Mr. Ty worked as a construction worker far from home, but since his wife got sick, he had to accompany her to the hospital, so his job was unstable. After more than 2 years of treating his wife, the cost of borrowing has been more than 130 million VND. Mr. Ty also had to borrow more to bring his wife back to her hometown for burial according to her wishes. Currently, in order to conveniently take his two children to school, Mr. Ty cannot work far away, there is no work in the border area, so life for the three father and children is very difficult.

Head of the Organizing Committee of the program "Aspiration to Live", General Director of Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) Nguyen Duc Tien presented the program's lucky gifts to Mr. Ty and his son.

Philanthropists from Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City have accompanied the program for many years.

With the message "Connecting the community - Helping the poor to revive", the program "Aspiration to live" has connected philanthropists, businesses and political organizations of Binh Phuoc province to support Mr. Ty's family. The total amount of 168.15 million VND that the program gave to Mr. Ty's family is not only a source of spiritual encouragement to help him overcome the pain of losing his wife but also a large source of funding to help him take care of his 2 young children's education. Previously, the Board of Directors of Loc Tan Primary - Secondary School (where Mr. Ty's 2 children are studying) mobilized staff, teachers, students and parents to donate more than 26 million VND to the family.

Clubs, teams, volunteer groups, and philanthropists in the province donated money to support Mr. Ty's family.

After discussing with the family and local authorities, the program's organizing committee agreed to allocate 10 million VND for the family to pay in advance for the funeral expenses of Mr. Ty's wife; 18.15 million VND for family living expenses in the coming time; 140 million VND for savings to spend on livelihood development and raising children's education.

Mr. Ty emotionally said: “Thank you to the Aspiration to Live program, thank you to the benefactors who have helped my father and I during this difficult time. During this time, my father and I have to organize ourselves, stabilize our spirits, especially accept the absence of our wife and mother in the house to move forward in life.”

The Standing Committee of the Association for the Support of the Disabled - Orphans and Poor Patients of the province presented the donation money and symbolic plaque of the benefactors to Mr. Ty's family.

Associations, unions of Loc Ninh district and local authorities give money to help Mr. Ty's family.
