(GLO)- From September 23 to 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province organized a survey team to assess the potential for rural tourism development in Kbang, Mang Yang and Chu Pah districts.

The survey was attended by leaders of the Provincial Tourism Association; businesses providing services and tourism; leaders of a number of Departments of Culture and Information and press agencies.
In Kbang district, the delegation surveyed locations such as the orange farm in Tram Lap village (Son Lang commune); Hanh Phuc macadamia processing facility, Hang Doi waterfall (Kbang town); Nup Hero Memorial House, and the restored Stor Resistance Village (To Tung commune). At the same time, the delegation experienced homestay services, traditional cuisine, and enjoyed gong performances by Stor villagers.

In addition, the delegation surveyed a number of villages and locations with potential for rural tourism development such as De Kjeng village (Ayun commune), Pyau village, Pyau waterfall (Lo Pang commune, Mang Yang district); surveyed community tourism in Kep village (Ia Mo Nong commune), ancient stone stream, Sam Phat tourist area (Ia Ly town, Chu Pah district).
After the survey program in the 3 districts, there will be a conference to assess the current situation, potential and strengths of rural tourism in the 3 localities. Thereby, finding solutions for localities to build effective plans for rural tourism development in the coming time.
