Delegates attended the handover ceremony of the Gratitude House to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lang's family.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lang is the wife of martyr Pham Duc Lai - who died in the resistance war against the US to save the country. Mrs. Lang's family is in difficult circumstances, for many years she has lived in a dilapidated house but has not had the conditions to repair or rebuild.

With the desire to support the family to have a better life, Brigade 131 coordinated with local authorities and Party committees to support funding to build a house for Mrs. Lang's family. After more than 3 months of construction, the house was completed with an area of 50m2, worth 200 million VND. Of which, Brigade 131 supported 80 million VND, benefactors supported more than 10 million VND, the rest was contributed by family and relatives.

At the inauguration ceremony, departments, branches and organizations presented many gifts of essential items and utensils for daily life, contributing to supporting and encouraging the families of Ms. Hoang Thi Ngan and Ms. Nguyen Thi Lang to stabilize their lives.

Recently, Brigade 131, Navy has launched a widespread movement of "repaying gratitude" to all officers and employees to support and help families with meritorious services, especially those with housing difficulties. Over the past 16 years, the Brigade has coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to support funding for the construction of 25 gratitude houses to give to families with meritorious services. In 2023 alone, 2 families received housing support.

This is a meaningful activity of the officers and soldiers of Brigade 131 with the relatives of those who heroically sacrificed in the resistance wars to save the country.
