On June 17, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the inauguration ceremony of passenger terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport (Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien - Hue province) organized by Vietnam Airports Corporation.
The project to build passenger terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport was started on December 29, 2019. The project is invested by Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), built with a capacity of 5 million passengers/year (1 million international passengers and 4 million domestic passengers), with a total investment of nearly 2,300 billion VND.

This is a unique aviation project in Vietnam, inspired by the image of Ngu Mountain and built in the style of Hue royal palace with overlapping roofs. Passenger Terminal T2 was completed and put into trial operation on April 28, 2023.
Phu Bai T2 Passenger Terminal is also the first terminal of ACV to apply digital transformation, upgrade digital infrastructure, and digital platform to standardize business processes. This is a key transport infrastructure project within the aviation transport development plan for the period up to 2020 and orientation to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.
Terminal T2 has a unique architecture, inspired by the image of Ngu Mountain and built in the style of Hue royal palace with overlapping roof layers.
The operation of Passenger Terminal T2 will gradually complete the infrastructure, improve the exploitation capacity of Phu Bai International Airport to level 4E; meet the travel needs of local people, while attracting tourists and investors; create new momentum to promote economic growth, helping Thua Thien - Hue province take off, soon achieving the goal of becoming a centrally-run city by 2025.
