Ba Dở Bridge in Soc Trang inaugurated.

The Ba Dở Bridge, spanning the Mỹ Bình River, is 22 meters long and 5 meters wide, with a total investment of over 1.1 billion VND from socialized funding sources of the Ministry of Transport .

On the morning of December 8th, at My Phuoc hamlet, My Binh commune, Nga Nam town, Soc Trang province, the People's Committee of Nga Nam town held the inauguration ceremony for Ba Do bridge, which was built with socialized funding from the Ministry of Transport.

Representatives performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union, said that the construction of the Ba Do bridge is of great significance, not only helping people and students in neighboring localities to travel more conveniently and easily, but also creating conditions for people to trade and transport goods in the area.

This project contributes to the completion of the rural transportation bridge system, effectively serving to promote socio -economic development and improve the lives of people in the area.

Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union, emphasized that the Ba Do project has great significance.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union, the project's early completion and commissioning for the people today is thanks to the efforts of local leaders, construction units, supervisory consultants, and other relevant parties.

In particular, the support and solidarity from the local people have ensured that the project is implemented according to the set objectives: quality, progress, safety, and efficiency, truly deserving to be a project reflecting the will of the Party and the aspirations of the people.

"In the coming time, in order to preserve, protect, and effectively utilize the project, I hope that the leaders and people of the locality will continue to support the Ministry of Transport more by strictly managing and using the project for its intended purpose, in accordance with the law on the road protection corridor, and ensuring traffic safety and order in the area," the Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Workers' Union suggested.

The Ba Dở Bridge project has a total investment of over 1.1 billion VND.

According to Mr. Phan Truong Giang, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Binh commune, My Phuoc is the most populous hamlet in the commune, with a primary school and a secondary school. Previously, for students to go to school, residents had to take a long detour to reach a bridge or cross the river by boat.

With the Ba Do tree now in place, the local government and people are very happy because it makes transportation more convenient. At the same time, this project contributes to the locality's fulfillment of the criteria for rural transportation construction under the national target program "Building New Rural Areas" for the period 2021-2025 in My Binh commune.
