At the ceremony, Comrade Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, acknowledged and commended the outstanding efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (City Management Board) and related units.

The Head of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared: “In the atmosphere of the whole country joyfully celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the City Management Board's early putting into use of the Thu Duc City Regional General Hospital will not only meet the medical examination and treatment needs of people in Thu Duc City, but also help people in neighboring areas such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, etc. have a spacious and convenient place for medical examination and treatment. This is also an opportunity for the hospital to continue to grow, develop, and improve the quality of human resources."

Comrade Van Thi Bach Tuyet also suggested that Thu Duc City Regional General Hospital continue to proactively and actively develop plans for training and developing human resources to meet new environmental conditions; take advantage of the comprehensive cooperation and support of end-line hospitals to develop protocols, processes, and specialized techniques in medical examination and treatment for the people; elevate the position of a gateway hospital to soon become a complete grade 1 general hospital, develop in-depth expertise in trauma emergency, endovascular intervention, and soon become a key hospital to form the Thu Duc Specialized Medical Cluster.

Previously, a representative of the City Management Board said: The project to build a new Thu Duc City Regional General Hospital was started in 2021, with a scale of 1 basement and 10 floors above ground, on a land use area of ​​over ^58,000m2 . The total investment is more than 1,915 billion VND, with a scale of 1,000 beds. As a new construction project, designed according to international standards, the solutions for arranging the overall layout, functional chain, space division, construction investment quality... are equivalent to a real international hospital, with landscape, spacious space to create a sense of safety, comfort, and relaxation for patients and medical staff to dedicate and serve the people.

Dr. Cao Tan Phuoc, Director of Thu Duc City Regional General Hospital, said that every day, the hospital receives over 3,500 people for medical examination and treatment and annually successfully performs thousands of cardiovascular and severe trauma treatments... On the foundation of the new hospital, the team will continue to consolidate and promote resource development, perfect the specialties of a comprehensive general hospital, and at the same time focus on developing key areas such as: Emergency, resuscitation, internal medicine, pediatrics, diagnostic imaging, testing and pathology.

At the same time, the hospital will promote in-depth development of endovascular intervention fields such as cardiovascular, neurological, extracardiac vascular, with investment in modern equipment such as CT systems from 256 slices or more, MRI 3.0 Tesla. Another priority is trauma emergency, including neurology, chest, abdomen, maxillofacial specialties; along with the fields of general surgery, cancer treatment, palliative care, thoracic surgery, vascular, neurological, orthopedic trauma and obstetrics and gynecology...
