Through industrial promotion funds, Khanh Hoa has created a strong driving force for rural industrial establishments to innovate machinery and improve production capacity.
Many projects have brought about results.
According to the industrial promotion program for the 2021 - 2025 period, Khanh Hoa plans to spend more than 15 billion VND to support industrial and handicraft establishments in rural areas to develop production and business.
Of which, more than 5 billion VND is allocated to support 37 rural industrial establishments to expand factories, invest in machinery and production lines to increase output and improve product quality, meet the increasing demands of domestic consumers and aim for export.
In 2024 alone, from 1.8 billion VND of local industrial promotion funds and more than 1.1 billion VND of national industrial promotion funds, Khanh Hoa has supported 56 establishments with projects to apply advanced machinery and equipment in industries and occupations such as agricultural, forestry and fishery processing and food processing; production of industrial goods for consumption and export, goods to replace imported goods; production of construction materials and production of handicrafts. The projects attracted nearly 27 billion VND of counterpart capital from the establishments.

Vinh Phuoc Handicraft Export Cooperative is a typical example. With 300 million VND in support from industrial promotion funds, the facility has boldly contributed 700 million VND to invest in machinery and technology, improve production capacity, and meet large orders from domestic export companies. According to the cooperative representative, with support from industrial promotion funds, the facility will have positive changes in production and product development.
Industrial promotion activities in Khanh Hoa province have been recognized to have been effective in recent times. In particular, rural industrial establishments are encouraged to invest in production, innovate technology, and apply advanced machinery and equipment to improve productivity and effectively use resources, raw materials, fuels, and materials.
It is worth mentioning that the supported projects after operation all help production facilities stabilize, have higher revenue each year than the previous year, and create jobs for a large number of workers in rural areas.
Continue to be a priority
After more than 10 years of implementation under Decree No. 45/2012/ND-CP on Industrial Promotion, industrial promotion has gradually affirmed its important role in promoting the development of local rural industry. At the same time, it supports industrial production establishments in rural areas to improve their capacity, have good competitiveness and a foothold in the market.
Particularly with the content of supporting projects on applying advanced machinery and equipment in industries and professions such as: Processing of agricultural - forestry - fishery products and food processing; production of industrial goods for consumption and export, goods replacing imported goods; production of construction materials and handicrafts, etc., many establishments have been supported, thereby promoting processing and increasing the value of agricultural products and key products. This also shows that supporting the innovation of rural industrial production has been and is an effective content of Khanh Hoa industrial promotion.
However, like many other localities, rural industrial production establishments in Khanh Hoa province are mostly small-scale, with weak financial and human resources capacity, and limited application of advanced technology to production.
On the other hand, there are still establishments that only focus on production and do not pay attention to finding information, especially about industrial promotion support policies to reduce the financial burden in the investment process of enterprises.
Therefore, in the coming time, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Khanh Hoa province will continue to strengthen information and propaganda activities for industrial promotion in various forms to disseminate industrial promotion work more widely, helping establishments find funding sources to support and reduce financial burdens in investment.
At the same time, regularly monitor and guide establishments to implement projects approved by competent authorities in accordance with the registered project schedule. Monitor and urge units to complete investment documents in accordance with the project content to receive disbursement according to regulations. Closely coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review and grasp establishments that need to participate in registering industrial promotion projects to supplement and replace projects that do not meet the schedule and content according to the industrial promotion plan.
