On the morning of October 1, Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism coordinated with Cam Ranh International Airport to organize a ceremony to welcome the 9 millionth tourist to Nha Trang city. Attending the ceremony were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang, leaders of the Department of Tourism, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and representatives of related units.
The 9 millionth tourist to Khanh Hoa was Ms. An Jin Yeong, a passenger on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Incheon (Korea) to Cam Ranh. At the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang, along with leaders of the Department of Tourism and relevant agencies and units, welcomed and presented gifts to Ms. An Jin Yeong. At the same time, provincial leaders and businesses presented gifts to the 8,999,999th and 9,000,001st visitors to Khanh Hoa in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang welcomed guests to visit and relax in Khanh Hoa. At the same time, he hoped that guests would be interested in introducing, promoting, and providing information about Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to friends, relatives in particular and to Korean people in general...
Mr. Le Huu Hoang emphasized that the ceremony to welcome the 9 millionth visitor to Khanh Hoa in 2024 is a memorable milestone for Khanh Hoa's tourism industry.
In addition to the welcoming ceremony, the province assigned the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to organize the program to announce Khanh Hoa tourism reaching 9 million visitors and launch a tourism stimulus campaign with the theme "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism, come to love" at April 2 Square, Nha Trang (scheduled to be held on October 13).

In the coming time, Khanh Hoa tourism industry will continue to invest in infrastructure, improve the quality of tourism services; promote promotion, coordinate with airlines to open more domestic and international routes to Khanh Hoa, attract more tourists to the province to develop tourism sustainably; contribute to completing the goal of Resolution No. 09, making Khanh Hoa province a city directly under the Central Government.
At the welcoming ceremony, Ms. An Jin Yeong expressed: “This is my first time coming to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, a tourist destination loved by Korean tourists. I am very happy to know that I am the 9 millionth visitor to Khanh Hoa in 2024; I was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the province and the tourism industry of Khanh Hoa... This will be a memorable memory in my life”.

In 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome 9 million overnight visitors, including 3 million international visitors; revenue of 40,100 billion VND. The high number of tourists has helped Khanh Hoa tourism industry reach the target 3 months ahead of schedule.
According to the Department of Tourism, it is estimated that by the end of September, the whole province welcomed 9 million overnight guests, an increase of 57.9% over the same period in 2023; of which, there were 3.6 million international visitors, an increase of 147.9% over the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 44,138.4 billion, an increase of 61.9% over the same period (exceeding 10% of the 2024 plan).
