On the morning of October 1st, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, in coordination with Cam Ranh International Airport, held a ceremony to welcome the 9 millionth tourist to Nha Trang city. Attending the ceremony were the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Huu Hoang, leaders of the Department of Tourism, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, and representatives from related units.
The 9 millionth tourist to Khanh Hoa was Ms. An Jin Yeong, a passenger on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Incheon (South Korea) to Cam Ranh. At the ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Huu Hoang, along with leaders of the Department of Tourism and related agencies and units, welcomed and presented gifts to Ms. An Jin Yeong. At the same time, provincial leaders and businesses also presented gifts to the 8,999,999th and 9,000,001st tourists to Khanh Hoa in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang welcomed the guests to visit and relax in Khanh Hoa. He also expressed his hope that the guests would take the time to introduce, promote, and provide information about Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to their friends and relatives in particular, and to the Korean people in general…
Mr. Le Huu Hoang emphasized that the ceremony welcoming the 9 millionth visitor to Khanh Hoa in 2024 is a memorable milestone for Khanh Hoa's tourism industry.
In addition to the welcoming ceremony, the province has assigned the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to organize a program announcing that Khanh Hoa tourism has reached 9 million visitors and to launch a tourism stimulus campaign with the theme "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism, Come to Love" at April 2nd Square, Nha Trang (scheduled to be held on October 13th).

In the coming period, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry will continue to invest in infrastructure, improve the quality of tourism services; strengthen promotional activities, coordinate with airlines to open more domestic and international routes to Khanh Hoa, attract more tourists to the province to promote sustainable tourism development; and contribute to achieving the goal of Resolution No. 09, making Khanh Hoa province a centrally-governed city.
At the welcoming ceremony, Ms. An Jin Yeong expressed: “This is my first time visiting Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, a tourist destination loved by Korean tourists. I am very happy to know that I am the 9 millionth visitor to Khanh Hoa in 2024; I am very warmly welcomed by the provincial leaders and the Khanh Hoa tourism industry… This will be a memorable experience in my life.”

In 2024, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry aimed to welcome 9 million overnight visitors, including 3 million international tourists, and achieve revenue of 40,100 billion VND. Due to the high number of tourists, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry reached its target three months ahead of schedule.
According to the Department of Tourism's report, it is estimated that by the end of September, the province had welcomed 9 million overnight visitors, an increase of 57.9% compared to the same period in 2023; of which, 3.6 million were international visitors, an increase of 147.9% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 44,138.4 billion, an increase of 61.9% compared to the same period (exceeding the 2024 plan by 10%).
