The April 30-May 1 holiday is the beginning of summer, plus the long holiday, an opportunity for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to attract domestic tourists.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that the number of visitors to Khanh Hoa during the April 30-May 1 holiday this year tends to increase, mainly concentrated on the 3 days of April 29-30 and May 1. Of which, tourists are concentrated at resorts in Bai Dai area (Cam Lam, Khanh Hoa) and closed resorts on the islands with a capacity of over 90%.
Vibrant tourism market
The beautiful sunny weather in Khanh Hoa during the 5-day holiday has attracted many tourists from all over to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation. The local tourism market is bustling.
Based on data compiled from tourism businesses in the province, the total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and vacation from April 29 to May 3 reached 798,100. Of which, the number of overnight guests reached 199,600. Total revenue from tourism reached more than 850 billion VND .
The average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments during the 5 holidays reached 87.8%, with most guests concentrated in 4-star hotels and equivalent.

Sharing about the situation of welcoming tourists, the Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that this year's holiday is an opportunity for tourist destinations in Nha Trang to attract domestic tourists.
“The Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30-May 1 holidays are the beginning of summer, suitable for long-distance travel with groups and families. Khanh Hoa focuses on exploiting and stimulating the domestic tourist market,” said Ms. Thanh.
The Department also said that inspections of compliance with legal regulations in tourism business activities must take place suddenly to prevent price increases and price gouging of tourists.
During this year’s holiday, domestic visitors to Khanh Hoa mainly come by air, rail and road. The southern railway sector has added 4-6 pairs of trains per day running the Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa to serve the travel needs of people during the holiday. On average, there are about 20 trips per day.
Renovate many tourist attractions
“Domestic tourists are the market that Khanh Hoa tourism industry focuses on exploiting during this holiday,” Ms. Thanh informed.
In order to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa, during the peak tourist season of Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30 - May 1, the province has coordinated with tourism businesses across the country to implement many cultural and artistic activities and programs to attract tourists. Highlights include the art performance program to celebrate the 48th anniversary of national reunification and the 137th anniversary of International Labor Day, and the music festival program at April 2 Square to serve the people and tourists.
In addition, Khanh Hoa province also built, renovated and embellished many architectural works in Nha Trang to enhance the tourism experience of visitors in the province.

Tram Huong Tower - a special highlight when mentioning Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa - has been restored, creating a new cultural and spiritual destination for tourists.

Regarding the security and order situation in the province, the Department of Tourism has increased its staff to arrange 24/7 hotline staff to receive feedback from tourists and arranged staff at the Tourist Support Information Station on the main road Tran Phu.
