On February 17, Khanh Hoa held a conference to meet with tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa province in 2025 and proposed measures to promote tourism in 2025.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province; Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, unions and units and enterprises in the tourism industry inside and outside the province.
In 2024, Khanh Hoa Tourism achieved many outstanding and proud achievements. All tourism targets in 2024 exceeded the set plan, with the total number of overnight guests estimated at 10.8 million, an increase of 49.03% over the same period. Of which, international visitors are estimated at more than 4.7 million, an increase of 98.76% compared to 2023.
The restoration and development of Khanh Hoa tourism industry has made positive contributions to the socio -economic development of the province, creating a driving force to promote the development of many other industries and fields.
To achieve encouraging results, Khanh Hoa organizes large-scale national and international events to attract visitors in the summer of 2024: Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival 2024 with a scale of 200 tourism, trade and culinary booths, open space design to facilitate people and tourists to access and participate in nearly 30 activities and events of many different types, notably the Carnival light parade program promoting Khanh Hoa tourism; Workshop on sustainable development of Khanh Hoa tourism - hotel industry; Parade of large-displacement motorcycles promoting the Festival event; Nha Trang coastal city Ao Dai cyclo parade; Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Culinary Festival 2024; Unique Nha Trang H-Marathon; Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 (EGN 2024) ...
To do well in development and sustainability, from the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa tourism industry continuously implemented tourism promotion programs in localities of China (Shanghai, Zhejiang), Kazakhstan, Thailand... Organized to welcome foreign business delegations and travel agencies to survey Khanh Hoa tourism (Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia...), coordinated with localities to connect destinations, build products to serve cruise passengers; coordinated with Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, tourism businesses in the province and airlines, researched and built tour programs, promotional travel combo packages, preferential prices to stimulate demand and attract customers, worked with airlines.
In the first days of the new year of At Ty 2025 alone, the province's tourism activities have made great efforts to attract more than 1,014,000 arrivals, an increase of 67.1% over the same period in 2024. Of which: International visitors are estimated at 519,000 arrivals, an increase of 27.9% over the same period; Domestic visitors are estimated at 495,000 arrivals, an increase of 146.1% over the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 5,582 billion, an increase of 82% over the same period.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu acknowledged and praised the efforts and contributions of businesses, departments, branches and localities to the development of the provincial tourism industry in recent times. Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry has been proactive in finding solutions and implementing many important and timely tasks to restore and promote tourism development. Thanks to that, Khanh Hoa Tourism has achieved positive results, the competitiveness index has been improved, the position and image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism is increasingly clearer on the regional and world tourism map, with the total number of visitors estimated at more than 10.8 million, an increase of 49.03% over the same period...
However, the Vice Chairman also requested that Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry must make more efforts to complete the tourism industry's target in 2025 of welcoming 11.8 million overnight guests, including 5.2 million international visitors, with revenue reaching more than 60,000 billion VND, contributing to completing the socio-economic development plan of the province...
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 13 collectives and 10 individuals working in departments, branches and sectors who had outstanding achievements in coordinating the implementation of the Khanh Hoa Tourism Action Program in 2024.
