At the meeting, Professor Tran Van Tho, Honorary Professor of Waseda University, said that the Japanese people love and believe in the human potential and cooperation with Vietnam. With 21 years of experience working in Japan and devoting much of her passion to the medical field at Osaka Metropolitan University, Associate Professor Le Thi Thanh Thuy has had many activities connecting the training of many PhDs, Masters and connecting many scholarships for Vietnamese students and researchers to study and research in Japan.
In particular, Associate Professor Le Thi Thanh Thuy is very active in organizing cooperation activities between Osaka Metropolitan University and Vietnamese universities and localities in the fields of training and health care between the two countries.
According to Associate Professor Ho Anh Van, an expert on artificial intelligence in Japan, from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, there are currently over 40 Vietnamese professors and associate professors working at universities in Japan. Mr. Ho Anh Van hopes that the Government will continue to promote connections, sending Vietnamese students to study in Japan, and that Vietnamese experts in Japan will make efforts to participate in training high-quality human resources for the country.
Delighted to meet and proud of the achievements that the Vietnamese community in Japan has contributed to the host country, contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Japan relationship, President Vo Van Thuong said that these successes were achieved thanks to the spirit, will and perseverance in the context of living and studying far from home and facing many difficulties. The President emphasized that the contributions of outstanding Vietnamese intellectuals not only actively support the Vietnamese community in Japan, but also help strengthen the development of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Japan.

The President affirmed that the great achievements of historical significance after nearly 40 years of national renovation as well as the good results of the Vietnam-Japan relationship over the past 50 years have been contributed by the Vietnamese community in Japan, especially Vietnamese intellectuals. To achieve the goal of Vietnam becoming a developed country with high income by 2045, great efforts are needed from the entire political system, including Vietnamese people around the world.
President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the Party and State always attach importance to talented people and intellectuals, considering them as the key force with decisive significance in helping the country develop strongly and by leaps and bounds, contributing to realizing the set goals; in which, there is an important role of the Vietnamese intellectual team globally in general and in Japan in particular.

The President welcomed leading Vietnamese scientists at Japanese universities who have trained graduate students and provided scholarships to Vietnamese students, thereby contributing to the training of high-quality human resources for the country. The President agreed with the view that Vietnamese people in Japan consider Japan their home and Vietnam their homeland, and continue to make efforts to contribute to the local community, while also contributing to the relationship between the two countries.
