Urgent construction of regional connecting roads

To ensure the progress of the project, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Project Management Board has directed the construction contractors and supervision consultants to organize the construction in many directions, closely following the actual situation for implementation. Up to this point, the project has basically completed the roadbed embankment, is completing the road surface layers, has constructed 11/11 bridges, 25/28 underpasses, 168/191 cross-culverts, 04/04 retaining wall locations and rebuilt irrigation ditches.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Province Traffic Project Management Board, said: "We are also trying in the coming months. If the weather is favorable and the site clearance work is completed, we will finish on schedule."

The regional connecting route has a design speed of 100km/h. When completed and put into use, it will be an important route, connecting the region and creating strong momentum for economic and social development in the region.

Mr. Pham Quang Anh, Director of the Department of Transport of Thai Nguyen province, said: "Up to now, the project has been implemented on schedule, expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The completed route will open up a very important space in the socio-economic development of the province, as well as connecting Thai Nguyen, the center of the region, with surrounding provinces to exchange goods, economy, culture and society, especially attracting large investors, attracting FDI capital to develop the socio-economy of the province".
