On the evening of February 22, in Ho Chi Minh City, the movie Dao, Pho and Piano officially premiered at two theaters, Cinestar and Beta Cinema.
According to Tuoi Tre Online, there are cinemas that show at nearly midnight but still sell out all tickets.
Sold out on opening day
On its fanpage, Beta Cinema announced that it would only sell tickets for Dao, Pho and Piano directly at the counter. Meanwhile, Cinestar Quoc Thanh opened online ticket sales but quickly stopped due to the high number of visitors.
According to records , initially, Cinestar Quoc Thanh theater only sold tickets for two screenings at 4:40 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Both shows were officially sold out after the opening time.
After that, the theater opened another show at 11:59 p.m. to serve the audience's movie-watching needs.

At Beta Quang Trung theater, it was noted that the majority of people watching Dao, Pho and Piano were young people. Some people lined up to buy tickets but couldn't get them so they had to book tickets for the following days.
Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , audience member Gia Nguyen (22 years old, student at Van Lang University) invited his friend to go see the movie because he was interested in movies about Vietnamese history.
Nguyen said: "I saw a few excerpts on social media and found them quite interesting, so I decided to invite my friends to watch. We were lucky to buy tickets but had to sit in the last two rows because the theater was full."

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Dieu Hien - a ticket seller at Beta Quang Trung theater, said: "Today, the theater had 3 screenings that were all sold out within two hours of opening for sale. Even tomorrow, the tickets will be sold out."
Due to the huge demand for tickets, Ms. Hien said the theater also decided to open additional screenings tomorrow.
Peach, Pho and Piano is a state-ordered film from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, written and directed by director - Meritorious Artist Phi Tien Son.
The film recreates the 60-day Dong Xuan battle from late 1946 to early 1947 in Hanoi.
Amidst the war, the film also depicts the love story of militiaman Van Dan (played by Doan Quoc Dam) and Hanoi's young lady Thuc Huong (played by Cao Thi Thuy Linh); an old painter (played by People's Artist Tran Luc) who hopes to leave a valuable painting for the world; a pho couple who want to finish cooking a pot of pho before evacuating...
