Audiences love Tran Luc's "Doll"

On the evening of October 1, a large audience came to Hong Ha theater to watch the play "Doll" (author Le Hoang, director Meritorious Artist Tran Luc). This was the first time Meritorious Artist Tran Luc staged the play Le Hoang, an experimental play that was quite attractive because of the witty dialogue and the clever satirical handling of situations by author Le Hoang.

The emotions of the majority of the audience who came to the play "Doll" by Meritorious Artist Tran Luc were overwhelmed by his brainchild, which had many more performances.

Director Huynh Tinh Van - wife of Meritorious Artist Nguyen Cong Ninh - said that after watching "Doll", she was delighted by his new and unique creations in storytelling that are not mixed with any other director.

Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung performed his role excellently. He skillfully applied his mime skills to the story “Doll” directed by Meritorious Artist Tran Luc.

Meritorious Artist Tran Luc's experiments in acting form, changes in layout, space, and staging thinking have brought many new conclusions to those who study stage directing and research theory.

Most of the audience applauded the play with the participation of young actors, including Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung - lecturer at the Department of Theatre, Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema. The actors including: Vo Hoai Vu as the waiter, Thu Hien as the girl, Hoang Tung as the man, Phuong My as the matchmaker created a range of emotions mixed with excitement.

Meritorious Artist Tran Luc's greatest achievement is that he creates a space for young actors to perform, encouraging them to strive to improve their physical appearance and dialogue, and accompanying them creatively on the path he has chosen. The "doll" is beautiful in appearance but insensitive when it is exploited to satisfy bad purposes. The "doll" also reflects the abuse of artificial intelligence by humans and their indifference to each other.

Perhaps because of this theme, the play "Doll" has attracted a large number of young people to watch and it is predicted that "Doll" will be continuously lit up in October 2023.
