Examination, consultation, and free medicine distribution for people on Cat Ba Island

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - In order to show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, families with meritorious services, and households in difficult circumstances. On the morning of August 23, Cat Ba Border Guard Station coordinated with Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, International Medical Quarantine Center, and Hai Phong Eye Hospital to organize medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine for people in Viet Hai and Hien Hao communes, Cat Hai island district.

Accordingly, the subjects participating in the program are examined, consulted on screening for internal diseases, diabetes screening, blood pressure checks, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and eye diseases... During the examination process, people are consulted on health and given free medicine. At the same time, doctors also advise on how to prevent seasonal diseases and maintain health and environmental hygiene; some cases of examination and ultrasound showing signs of dangerous diseases will be consulted and referred to higher levels for treatment.

Giving gifts to households in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, Cat Ba Border Guard Station presented 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to 10 disadvantaged households in Viet Hai and Hien Hao communes.

The program of coordinating medical examination, consultation and free medicine distribution between grassroots units under the City Border Guard with prestigious and quality medical facilities and a team of experienced doctors and nurses is an extremely practical activity for people in island communes in the city. It demonstrates the affection and responsibility of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard, local Party committees and authorities towards the people in the coastal and island border areas of the city. It contributes to taking care of health, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, thereby strengthening the solidarity and close bond between the army and the people; promoting the Great National Unity in participating in firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty and security of the sea and island borders of the Fatherland, further enhancing the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"./.
