The Redmi Note 13 Pro has an elegant design, highlighted by a large 6.67-inch OLED display and a neat back with a camera cluster combined with a flash. Even with its large size, the phone is relatively light at 188 grams. The surfaces on the sides contain the usual buttons, and the bottom houses the speaker and charging port.
Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 120Hz display for a smooth experience
Using an OLED panel for Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nit maximum brightness for a clear and quite good viewing experience in the segment. With high brightness, the phone can be used comfortably in light environments such as outdoors, while the high refresh rate helps to handle tasks or play games smoothly.
Additionally, the phone also has an IP54 rating for splash resistance and an in-display fingerprint reader, which worked quite well during our review.
Performance
Equipped with an 8-core Helio G99 Ultra chip from MediaTek, the performance of Redmi Note 13 Pro meets the needs of users well, from daily tasks such as texting, browsing the web or listening to music to playing popular mobile games. This is thanks to the combination of LPDDR4X RAM standards and relatively modern UFS 2.2 internal memory.
Redmi Note 13 Pro's configuration is powerful enough to handle heavy mobile games
Coming with MIUI 14 based on Android 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro is also ready to receive HyperOS and Android 14 in the near future. The phone comes pre-installed with some popular third-party apps to help users use the phone conveniently.
Camera
In terms of camera, Redmi Note 13 Pro brings many modern specifications, the most notable of which is the 200 MP main camera for beautiful images in both daylight and low light conditions, a convenient 8 MP ultra-wide camera, although the 2 MP macro camera may not be perfect. Experience shows that the camera is probably the best feature on the product, meeting different photography needs well.
200 MP main sensor for superior images
With a 1/1.4-inch sensor, the main camera on the Redmi Note 13 Pro delivers sharpness and good color reproduction even without a lot of light. In some cases, even 4x digital zoom during the day is usable, but 10x zoom can return blurry images.
Ultra-wide shots during the day are decent with less sharpness and not-so-vivid colors. At night, photography is decent thanks to the night mode. And as mentioned, the 2MP macro camera quality is just acceptable due to the fact that this is a rarely used mode for a device like the Redmi Note 13 Pro.
As for selfies, the Redmi Note 13 Pro does well even without offering any beautification effects, offering some artificial blurring experience when Portrait mode is enabled.
Battery
Equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports Xiaomi's familiar 67W fast charging, the device's fast charging time is rated as good for its price range. The Helio G99 Ultra chip is manufactured on TSMC's 6nm process, helping battery life to stay at a reasonable level.
Redmi Note 13 Pro has a fairly large battery capacity
Thanks to fast charging, the Redmi Note 13 Pro's charging speed is quite fast compared to competitors in the same price segment, with a full charge from 0% taking less than 50 minutes. This is a result similar to many Xiaomi phones with 5,000 mAh batteries and 67W fast charging. The phone does not support wireless charging.
General assessment
The Redmi Note 13 Pro is a phone that works well for consumers who don't need to upgrade to the modern and not yet widespread 5G network. It is a great value for those who need a phone with good battery life, especially the ability to take trendy 200 MP resolution photos.
