Nearly 200 residents in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc province, received free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication.
On February 28th, in Dong Xoai City, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Ho Chi Minh City branch, in collaboration with the VNA Binh Phuoc branch, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Clinic, and Pharmacity Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, organized the "Doctor Tour - Health Festival" program to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.
Police officers at the Bình Phước Provincial Police Clinic receive information from citizens seeking free medical examination and treatment.
In addition, the program organizers also presented 20 gifts to disadvantaged families and 20 scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies. The total value of the gifts from the program was approximately 300 million VND.
The program organized medical examinations and treatment, health consultations, and provided essential medicines and medical supplies to disadvantaged individuals; it also disseminated information on preventing seasonal influenza and chronic diseases in the elderly... to approximately 200 residents in Tan Phu Ward (Dong Xoai City).
Through these awareness programs, the organizers also aim to provide basic health knowledge to raise public awareness in disease prevention, promote healthy lifestyles, contribute to improving the quality of life, and create a healthy community.

Ms. Tran Thi Hai Thuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Phu Ward, Dong Xoai City, said that many farmers in the ward still do not pay enough attention to their personal health; they often self-medicate based on personal experience whenever they experience symptoms.
"Today's program is very practical, and we hope that in the future, the locality will continue to receive meaningful activities like this to contribute to improving public health," Ms. Hai commented.
