Opening of the largest eco-tourism area in the western mountainous region of Quang Nam

Dong Giang Heaven Gate is the largest eco-tourism area in the western mountainous region of Quang Nam province, which has been under construction for nearly 7 years, of which 2 years have been put into trial operation. Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Project is invested by Hang Gop Eco-tourism Joint Stock Company, a member unit of FVG Group. This eco-tourism area has a scale of 120 hectares in Ma Cooih commune, Dong Giang district with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND.

Dong Giang Heaven Gate is a tourism product that integrates 4 popular types of tourism today: eco-tourism, indigenous cultural tourism, spiritual tourism and resort and health recovery tourism.

Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area is about 75 km from Da Nang city with pristine beauty, majestic mountains, cool climate, many scenic spots and high forest coverage. This place also has the unique indigenous culture of the Co Tu people, creating an attraction to attract tourists.

After nearly 2 years of operating and welcoming guests in phase 1, the tourist area has welcomed more than 120,000 visitors and guests. Many unique tourism product packages have been deployed such as the Spring Festival, the Great Forest Dance program... contributing to diversifying services, helping visitors have many experiences about nature and indigenous culture in the tourist area. This tourist area has attracted more than 1,000 workers who are local Co Tu people. In phase 2 of the project, it is expected to continue to recruit and train from 150 to 200 local workers to improve the quality of service to tourists, contributing to creating livelihoods and developing sustainable tourism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, expected: "This is a driving event, a premise to help mountainous tourism in Quang Nam province change strongly. This area promises to be a magnet attracting tourists to the mountainous region of Quang Nam. The project also has a pioneering meaning, contributing to attracting many new investment projects, thereby awakening the potential and enhancing the position and competitiveness of the mountainous region".

The Opening Ceremony of Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-Tourism Area took place before the April 30 and May 1 holidays, opening the 2024 summer tourism stimulus program "Quang Nam - green heritage land". In which, Dong Giang Heaven Gate is one of the destinations in the 3-day 2-night tour taking place from May to August 2024, becoming a connecting point for Central heritage sites.

Many tourists come to Dong Giang Heaven Gate during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

It is expected that in May 2024, Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area will officially put into operation the cable car category. This is the first cable car route in Quang Nam with a cable length of 1,601 m, an altitude of 800 m above sea level. The highlight of this project is the design using decorative motifs in the traditional culture of the Co Tu people. When officially put into operation, the project promises to bring attractive experiences to visitors when "hunting clouds" and immersing themselves in the wild space of majestic mountains and forests.
