The General Department of Taxation has just issued a decision to administratively sanction tax violations through tax inspection with Sao Mai Group Joint Stock Company.

Sao Mai Group Joint Stock Company, with Mr. Le Tuan Anh as general director, has committed tax false declarations for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Pursuant to Decree No. 125/2020/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoices, the General Department of Taxation decided to impose a fine and request remediation of a total amount of more than VND 3.56 billion.

Of which, more than VND504 million is the fine for false declaration leading to a shortage of tax payable (at a rate of 20% of the tax arrears), including VND407.7 million for false declaration of value added tax (VAT), nearly VND36 million for false declaration of corporate income tax (CIT), and more than VND60.4 million for false declaration of personal income tax (PIT).

Along with that, Sao Mai Company must pay the full amount of tax arrears to the state budget of more than 2.5 billion VND, including about 2 billion VND in VAT, 179.6 million VND in corporate income tax and more than 302 million VND in personal income tax from capital investment.

In addition, this company must pay more than VND535.47 million in late tax payment, including VND448.1 million in VAT, VND13.74 million in corporate income tax and nearly VND74 million in personal income tax.

The amount of late tax payment is calculated up to December 11, 2024. The company must calculate and pay the amount of late tax payment from December 11, 2024 until the actual payment of the arrears and fines to the state budget.
