Specifically, this site was excavated from May 5th to June 26th, 2025, covering a total area of 50 m² , comprising two trenches, each with an area of 25 m² .
The authorities are responsible for preserving and protecting artifacts collected during archaeological excavations to prevent damage or loss, and for reporting on plans to protect and promote their value.
After the excavation is completed, a plan for managing the excavated archaeological area and a scientific report on the excavation work must be proposed.
This is the fourth time the specialized agency has conducted archaeological excavations in this area, following the first in 2021, the second in 2022, and the third in 2024.

The Thac Hai archaeological site was discovered in early 2020. In 2023, the "Thac Hai Stone Drill Bit Collection" was recognized as a National Treasure. This site has attracted considerable attention from archaeologists and historians because it is the first time a workshop site has been discovered.
In addition to the drill bits commonly found at previously discovered factory sites, there were also traces of glassmaking furnaces and glass artifacts.
