On the evening of December 1, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province coordinated with Tay Ninh Sun Joint Stock Company (under Sun Group) to organize the Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange program and opened the first Vietnam-Japan Cultural Week held on the top of Ba Den Mountain. Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and leaders of Tay Ninh province attended. The program aims to strengthen the Vietnam-Japan friendship, and at the same time hopes to create a unique cultural space of the Land of the Rising Sun in Tay Ninh. The Vietnam-Japan Cultural Week was held from December 1-8 with many unique cultural experiences of Japan combined with the traditional cultural beauty of Tay Ninh. At the program, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Ito Naoki presented Tay Ninh province with 200 cherry blossom trees - a symbol of the beauty of Japanese culture planted on top of Ba Den Mountain. Speaking at the program, Ambassador Ito Naoki expressed his joy after visiting the landscape of Ba Den Mountain, especially the fact that for the first time Tay Ninh organized the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Program here. Ambassador Ito Naoki emphasized that Japanese people love cherry blossoms because they are a symbol of spring in Japan. He felt very happy to see 200 cherry blossom trees planted on top of Ba Den Mountain. This will be a symbol of the good friendship between Vietnam and Japan, and at the same time help strengthen the friendship between the two countries as well as between Japan and Tay Ninh province. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam also said that Japan and Vietnam are Comprehensive Strategic Partners for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world. Japan attaches great importance to this new relationship, including many areas being promoted such as tourism, people-to-people exchange, and exchanges between localities. Mr. Ito Naoki also expressed his hope that after this Vietnam-Japan Cultural Week, many tourists from Japan will come to Vietnam as well as to Tay Ninh and vice versa. Ms. Nguyen Lam Nhi Thuy, Deputy General Director of Sun Group Corporation in the South, General Director of Tay Ninh Sun Joint Stock Company, said that this Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange program aims to honor the traditional culture of the two nations. This event is an important milestone of the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area and has become a cultural connection destination between Vietnam and Japan.

Ms. Nguyen Lam Nhi Thuy also emphasized that for the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, receiving 200 cherry blossom trees from the beautiful country of Japan is a great honor. Because Ba Den Mountain is not only a spiritual destination but also a cultural space, where visitors can admire the brilliant beauty of cherry blossoms, the symbol of Japan, and deeply feel the friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Japan. On the same afternoon, at the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting and paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Ito Naoki. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Ito Naoki to visit Tay Ninh province during his working trip to Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc also informed about the potential, advantages, culture and tourism of Tay Ninh province. At the same time, thanking Japan for its special attention to Tay Ninh in particular and Vietnam in general through the event of presenting the province with 200 cherry blossom trees. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Vietnam-Japan relationship will be further strengthened, and at the same time, Japanese investors will continue to expand their investment in Tay Ninh, contributing to promoting the relationship between Tay Ninh province and Japan in the future./.
