To celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on the evening of August 31, Thanh Thuy district held a meeting to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the district's re-establishment (September 1, 1999 - September 1, 2024) and the opening of Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 with the theme "Returning to the green water area".
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang presented the Banner of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Thuy district.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; fellow members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee: Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Vi Manh Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Commission; provincial leaders of all periods; leaders of a number of departments, branches, and organizations; districts, cities, and towns of the province, along with thousands of people and tourists.

In his welcoming speech, the leader of Thanh Thuy district affirmed: After 25 years of re-establishment, under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the coordination of provincial departments, branches and sectors, Thanh Thuy district has always joined hands and made proud achievements. From a poor locality with a low starting point, up to now, the average income per capita of the whole district has reached 56.8 million VND/person/year, an increase of 18 times. Total budget revenue reached 490 billion VND, an increase of 15.7 times compared to the Resolution of the 2000-2005 term.
Infrastructure has many breakthrough developments with many key routes being invested in and built, creating connections between regions and localities inside and outside the province. In implementing the breakthrough in tourism development, Thanh Thuy district has focused on investing in infrastructure construction, creating a clean space to attract potential investors to invest in eco-resorts, spiritual tourism and developing high-quality tourism products...

In 2023, the district welcomed 680,000 visitors with revenue reaching 520 billion VND. In the first 8 months of this year alone, nearly 800,000 visitors came to visit and experience services in the area, with revenue reaching 560 billion VND.

Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 is a very meaningful activity, creating an important highlight demonstrating the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and all classes of people in the process of building Thanh Thuy into a key district for tourism in the province. Thereby, gradually forming an ideal, friendly and attractive resort for friends, domestic and international tourists, contributing to strongly promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

The Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 event takes place from August 31 to September 4 with many cultural and tourism activities to promote, introduce and advertise the land, people as well as the potential and advantages of local tourism. During this time, in addition to the mass cultural programs in the evenings at the "Street Music" Stage, visitors and locals can also visit the walking street along both sides of the dual carriageway opposite the gate of the Ngoc Xanh Island Tourist Area with 40 booths displaying, introducing and selling OCOP products, regional specialties.
At the ceremony, the art program “Back to the green water” took place with the participation of famous artists and singers to praise the Party and the State and introduce the potential and advantages of tourism development of Thanh Thuy district. The highlight of this year's program was the fireworks display combined with the Drone light performance - the art of performing light using unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time in the province, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of the people and tourists.
