The fifth session of the 15th National Assembly is held in two phases and is expected to close on June 23. The total working time of the National Assembly is expected to be 22 days with a huge amount of work and many important contents.

Recently, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the Nationalities Council, the National Assembly's committees, the agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly delegations, the National Assembly deputies and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals have urgently prepared the contents to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and decision at the Fifth Session.
Before the opening of the session, at 7:15 a.m., leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
At 8:00 a.m., the National Assembly held a preparatory meeting. At the meeting, the National Assembly deputies listened to the speech of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; and listened to the report of the General Secretary of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong on the reception, explanation, and revision of the proposed meeting agenda. After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the meeting agenda.
At exactly 9 o'clock, the 15th National Assembly solemnly opened the fifth session.
