Opening of the Fine Arts Exhibition to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification Day in Hanoi

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives and leaders of the exhibition organizing units and Hanoi city, many painters, sculptors, and art-loving people and tourists.

The exhibition introduces 50 works of painting, graphics, sculpture, sketches... of high artistic value, with thematic content related to the Southern Liberation Day, national reunification and the theme of praising the homeland, the aspiration to rise up; at the same time, through the techniques and language of fine arts, it propagates to the public the love of homeland, country, national pride and revolutionary traditions.

The work "Tragic Song" by author Bui Anh Hung attracts many viewers.

Outstanding and typical works were selected from authors across the country to be displayed and introduced to the public, showing the comprehensive and profound development of the country in many fields after 50 years of national reunification, innovation and development in the era of growth.

Among them are works by many generations of painters, sculptors, and veteran artists who have made outstanding contributions to Vietnamese fine arts and the cause of national construction and defense.

Some of the artists and sculptors who participated in the revolution include: sculptor Ta Quang Bao - Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts; artist, Colonel Nguyen Quang Tho - State Prize for Literature and Arts; artist, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Nghia Duyen - State Prize for Literature and Arts...

In addition, there is also the participation of painters and sculptors with many successful works, leaving a deep impression such as painter, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan; sculptor Hoa Bich Dao; sculptor Dinh Gia Thang; sculptor Nguyen Phu Cuong... and authors in the current generation who have had successes in their artistic creation careers recognized such as painter Nguyen Truong Linh, painter Dao Quoc Huy, painter Mai Xuan Oanh...

The monument cluster of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers ( Quang Nam ) by sculptor Dinh Gia Thang, which won the State Prize in 2022, is also a typical work selected for the exhibition.

The exhibition is open to visitors until May 8.
