On the morning of August 19, at the Thanh Hoa Exhibition, Fair and Advertising Center, the Opening Ceremony of the 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition, North Central Region 4, 2024 took place.

Attending the ceremony were painter, sculptor, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; painter Luong Xuan Doan, President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association; comrade Dao Xuan Yen, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Quang Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; painters and sculptors from 6 provinces in the North Central region.
The 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition of the North Central Region in 2024 displays 226 works by 188 authors. This is an artistic playground for painters and sculptors from 6 Central provinces, including: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa. This is also an opportunity for painters and sculptors to announce their outstanding new works, helping the public enjoy the values of visual arts and improve their aesthetic perception. Through the ideological content and artistic value of the works, it contributes to promoting the image of the land and people as well as the socio-economic development achievements of the provinces in the region.
The exhibition runs from August 19 to September 2.

Speaking at the ceremony, artist Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, said: The exhibition is a practical activity to continue to consistently implement the Party's policies and guidelines on building and developing literature and art in the new period, serving the requirements of sustainable development of the country. This is an art playground for the art community in the North Central region, aiming to arouse and promote the spirit of artistic creativity of painters and sculptors currently living and working in the area; at the same time, promoting art exchange activities in the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Head of the Propaganda Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, expressed his joy when Thanh Hoa province coordinated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the North Central provinces to organize the 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition, North Central region.
He affirmed that, along with the task of building and developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, Thanh Hoa province always pays attention, resources and the most favorable conditions for the development of culture and art. In recent years, the leadership, direction and effective implementation of the resolutions, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on culture and art have always been of interest to all levels and sectors of the province.
This is a very meaningful cultural event, contributing to the realization of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on cultural and artistic development in the current period. The works of art reflect the fine traditional cultural values, economic, cultural and social achievements of the homeland and the country, creating spiritual and cultural values that are both modern and imbued with national identity. Thereby, continuing to arouse and strongly promote the creative potential of painters and sculptors in fine arts creation activities. The exhibition is also an opportunity for artists from the provinces to strengthen their relationships and also an opportunity for artists from Thanh Hoa province to welcome friends from the North Central provinces, exchange and share about culture and art, introduce the culture and land, and the friendly and hospitable people of Thanh Hoa.

At the ceremony, the Jury announced and awarded the authors and works that won the 29th North Central Fine Arts Exhibition in 2024. Of which, there were 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, and 7 consolation prizes. Awarded the "For the cause of Vietnamese fine arts" Medal and Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to groups and individuals. Announced the results of the authors recommended by the council to participate in the award of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.
Many people came to visit and enjoy the works displayed at the exhibition.
The 30th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition of North Central Region IV in 2025 will be held in Quang Binh province.
