- On the morning of April 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Liberation of the South in 1975 - The epic of great victory".
Attending the event were representatives of a number of departments, branches, organizations, associations, armed forces of the province and over 200 officers, soldiers, youth union members of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Youth Union.
With more than 200 typical and selected images, documents and artifacts, the exhibition space is divided into 3 main parts: The leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in the struggle for national liberation during the resistance war against the US; the heroic victory of the Spring of 1975; Lang Son and the whole country building and defending the Fatherland from 1975 to the present.
This exhibition introduces to the public many valuable images, artifacts and documents such as: the 6-barreled gun nest on the American plane shot down in Chi Lang district, Lang Son province on September 12, 1972; the flight suit of an American pilot (hat, shirt); American plastic wing-piercing bomb; propaganda documents exposing the US's plot and violation of the Geneva Agreement in Vietnam...
Through vivid and intuitive images, documents and artifacts, the thematic exhibition "Liberation of the South in 1975 - The epic of great victory" brings viewers a deep understanding of the heroic history of the nation , especially the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, comrades and compatriots to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
The exhibition is a practical activity to celebrate Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Through the exhibition, it contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "remembering the source of water" and arousing national pride among all classes of people; at the same time, creating a driving force to promote solidarity among all classes of people to continue to successfully implement the goals of economic, cultural and social development, building a prosperous and happy country.
The exhibition is open to visitors from April 16 to May 5, 2025.
