This is one of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) organized by the War Remnants Museum in this historic April.

Mr. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, Deputy Director of the War Remnants Museum, said that the exhibition displays more than 140 valuable documents and artifacts divided into three main parts, recreating the struggle journey on all three fronts: politics , military and diplomacy; emphasizing the historical mark of the 1973 Paris Agreement - a milestone in the cause of national liberation and ending the war in Vietnam.

In addition, the War Remnants Museum also displays a miniature model of tank 390 and evidence such as military radios and uniforms discarded by enemy troops fleeing on the streets.

On this occasion, Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong Thien (daughter of the late Lawyer Ngo Ba Thanh), General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Committee, presented the Museum with a valuable artifact that the family has kept for over 50 years. It is a roneo print of the appeal from organizations around the world to support the just war for independence of the Vietnamese people.
“I believe that these documents will help the public, domestic and foreign tourists, especially today's young generation, better understand the value of peace - something that does not come naturally, but must be exchanged for the blood of previous generations,” Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong Thien shared.

Among the crowd of people admiring the photos and memorabilia at the Museum was the family of Ms. Le Thanh. The couple and their two sons, aged 3 and 4, took the bus from Chau Doc (An Giang) to Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 23. After taking the children to Bach Dang Wharf to see the artillery positions and strolling the walking street to see the models on display, today the whole family went to the War Remnants Museum before returning to their hometown.
“The children love the soldiers very much. They want to see the soldiers marching, tanks, planes, and artillery positions. They constantly ask their parents to take them there, so today I let them take a day off from school. My whole family is very happy to be able to come to the city at this time. Every place is beautiful and meaningful,” said Ms. Le Thanh.

The exhibition opens from April 24 at the War Remnants Museum (28 Vo Van Tan, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).
