As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, on the morning of March 1, the Provincial People's Committee held a Seminar on developing heritage tourism products at the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
Comrade Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee chaired the discussion. Also attending were Dr. Nguyen Viet, Director of the Center for Southeast Asian Prehistory; Comrade Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; experts and scientists.
Ninh Binh is a land of spiritual land, talented people, rich in historical, cultural, patriotic and revolutionary traditions, a place that preserves many tangible and intangible cultural heritages imbued with national cultural identity... In particular, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is a place to preserve and conserve prehistoric archaeological relics and historical and cultural relics with many traces of human and ethnic history in a unique geological and geomorphological landscape with a flooded forest ecosystem, limestone mountain forest, with a very distinct and unique beauty.
After 10 years of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, Trang An has affirmed itself as one of the famous tourist destinations of Vietnam and the region, a place that harmoniously combines natural beauty and historical and cultural values, expressing stories of ancient history and is an intact chronicle recording environmental changes and human responses in the distant past, preserving a tradition of human habitation, a tradition of using land and sea of prehistoric people with many continuous cultures, lasting up to 30,000 years.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung affirmed: With the advantages of natural resources and profound humanity of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and the outstanding global values of geology, geomorphology, natural landscape and culture, therefore, Ninh Binh's development of Heritage tourism products at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is not only purely to serve the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience and develop the tourism economy, but more importantly, to demonstrate responsibility in preserving, conserving and promoting cultural and historical values; interpreting heritage values accurately and scientifically to ensure that these precious values will be passed down to today's and future generations.
In particular, it contributes practically to spreading the values of heritage, meeting the goals and orientations of developing Ninh Binh into a national and international tourism center based on heritage, in which cultural industry and heritage economy are the focus to build a green economy, a circular economy to serve the development of local communities and the country.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Seminar will receive many valuable contributions from experts, scientists, and managers to be able to build and form the best Heritage tourism products based on archaeological relics and artifacts combined with ethnographic experiences, while meeting the requirements of interpreting the values of the Heritage according to UNESCO's recommendations, so that Trang An is truly a link between the past and the present, between history and landscape, between nature and people, and is the center and foundation for building a millennium heritage city in the near future.
In the opening session, Dr. Nguyen Viet, Director of the Southeast Asian Prehistory Center, presented the center's report with the content "Characteristics of Ninh Binh's historical and cultural heritage - From potential to tourism products".

The report focused on analyzing scientific research on the potential of Trang An Heritage; highlighting the characteristics, potential of terrain, natural resources, historical and cultural heritage; advantages, difficulties and progress in exploiting heritage resources into assets in Ninh Binh in general and Trang An in particular.
The author's presentations place Trang An Heritage in the context of the general interaction of the entire natural, cultural and historical heritage of Ninh Binh, of which Trang An is the core. From there, specific suggestions are made to help Ninh Binh Heritage Tourism turn heritage potential into tourism assets; make rapid, strong and sustainable steps towards building a Millennium Heritage City on this land of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu.
After the opening session, delegates, experts and scientists participating in the Seminar continued with presentations and discussions to raise awareness of the importance of preserving, maintaining and promoting the outstanding global values of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, attracting attention from the community, promoting the image of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex after 10 years of being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
At the same time, it aims to find solutions to build unique heritage tourism products based on the foundation of archaeological relics and artifacts, along with intangible cultural heritages in the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
