Opening of Kbang District Tourism Festival 2024: Rich in cultural colors

On the evening of July 31, at Kbang District Square (Gia Lai Province), Kbang District People's Committee opened the Kbang Tourism Festival 2024.

Attending the opening ceremony of the Kbang District Cultural and Tourism Festival were former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Son Nhin; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Huynh Quang Thai; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee Thai Thanh Binh; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Huynh The Manh; Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairwoman in charge of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich; Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Ayun H'But.

Also attending the opening ceremony were former provincial and district leaders of different periods; leaders of a number of provincial agencies, departments and branches; leaders of districts, towns and cities of Gia Lai province and a number of districts and cities of Kon Tum, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen provinces and a large number of local people.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Kbang District Tourism Festival began with a parade of floats from several departments, offices, communes and towns of the district. Each float carries a different theme and message, introducing the potential, strengths and unique features of each industry, field and locality to delegates and visitors from all over the world.

The art program on the opening night was imbued with the cultural colors of the Eastern Truong Son region with 3 chapters according to each theme: “Kbang! The heroic land”; “The culture of ethnic origins” and “Kbang steadily moves forward” with the performances of 200 actors, artists, and singers from Ho Chi Minh City, specialized agencies, and villages in the district. Through this, Kbang district hopes that visitors will have the opportunity to experience and explore the life and cultural activities of 21 ethnic groups living together in solidarity in the district.

Besides the vibrant and magnificent cultural program, delegates and tourists were delighted with the colorful fireworks display at the opening ceremony of this year's Kbang Tourism Festival.

Speaking at the opening of the Festival, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kbang District Nguyen Van Dung said: From 2018 to now, the Kbang District Tourism Festival has been held annually, as part of a series of cultural and sports events approved by the Provincial People's Committee to be held annually; loved and awaited by a large number of people and tourists inside and outside the district and province, not only because of the joyful and bustling Festival atmosphere bearing the unique brand of Kbang, but also because of the beautiful natural scenery; interesting by the unique features of culinary culture; excited by traditional folk games; immersed in the vibrant gong melodies.

“This will create spiritual motivation and be an important resource for Kbang to continue to concretize and realize the goals and tasks of striving to build Kbang into a cultural and ecological tourism center of the province according to the Gia Lai province planning for the period 2021-2030 approved by the Prime Minister,” Mr. Dung emphasized.

On the opening night of the festival, although it rained, thousands of people from communes and towns still braved the rain to come watch.

This year’s Kbang District Tourism Festival takes place from July 31 to August 3 with many attractive activities: weaving and brocade competitions, gong performances, cuisine; flower car parade…; displaying and promoting typical agricultural products of many localities inside and outside Gia Lai province.
