On the Lao side, there were Major Thavideth Savengvilay, Deputy Defense Attaché of the Lao People's Army in Vietnam, and 25 Lao People's Army officers who are managers or work in military history at many agencies and units of the Lao Ministry of National Defense.

As of 2023, the Institute of Military History has organized 9 training courses for Lao People's Army officers. This year, at the request of the Lao Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense assigned the Institute of Military History to organize training for 25 Lao People's Army officers.

Major General Nguyen Hoang Nhien said that from the experience of organizing previous training courses as well as the actual level of Lao People's Army officers participating in this year's training, the Institute of Military History adjusted the training content in the direction of both equipping new comrades in the industry with some basic knowledge about military history research methodology, and consolidating and supplementing knowledge and experience in military history research and war summaries for comrades who have had a certain amount of time to approach military history work.

In addition, officers of the Lao People's Army also exchanged experiences in military history research in a number of Army units and visited a number of historical sites and sites in Vietnam.

Lieutenant Colonel Mixay Sulinkhamsy, Head of the Lao People's Army delegation, spoke at the opening ceremony of the training course.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Mixay Sulinkhamsy, Head of the Lao People's Army delegation, said that the training course was an opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of military history science, and affirmed that he would actively promote and creatively apply the knowledge learned in Vietnam into practical work, contributing to the effective implementation of military history research and war summary in his country.
