On the morning of June 30, at the main stage on Nguyen Hue walking street, the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center held the opening ceremony of the Children's Arts Festival for grassroots and Ho Chi Minh City movements - Summer 2024, with the theme " City Children Follow Uncle Ho's Teachings".
The festival is organized by the City Cultural Center every summer to create a joyful, meaningful and useful musical playground for children who are living, studying and practicing in groups and clubs of the Cultural Center, Thu Duc City Cultural - Sports Center and districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
The festival is held annually to contribute to promoting the arts movement at the grassroots level; it is a place for children to show their talents in singing, dancing, playing instruments, etc.
This is also an opportunity for units to discover new factors, nurture talents for children, and help improve the quality of children's cultural and artistic movements at facilities in the city.
This year, the festival has the participation of 22 units of the Cultural Center, the Cultural - Sports Center of Thu Duc city and districts, attracting 1,200 children to perform in 22 colorful art programs, presenting 110 singing, dancing, and musical performances... which were elaborately staged and imbued with the colors of childhood.
The programs have a performance duration of about 20 minutes, praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, praising beloved Uncle Ho, praising the history of the struggle for national liberation, remembering heroes and martyrs, children studying and following Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, praising the radiant beauty of the homeland, praising Ho Chi Minh City - a civilized, modern, and affectionate city...
On the opening morning of the festival, children from the District 4 Cultural - Sports Center, Tan Phu District Cultural - Sports Center, Nha Be District Cultural - Sports and Communications Center, and District 5 Cultural Center took turns performing lively and attractive programs: District 4 Children Following the Tradition of Their Fathers, Proud of the Children of the Heroic City, Proud of the Homeland Vietnam, District 5 Children Following Uncle Ho's Words.
The festival will continue to take place on July 1 and the morning of July 2, 2024 at the main stage on Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1.
