Opening of the 2025 Phu Tho Folk Song and Arts Festival

On April 2, 2025 (ie the 5th day of the 3rd lunar month), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Phu Tho Mass Arts and Folk Song Festival to serve the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of At Ty 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Dac Thuy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department; comrades in the Department's Board of Directors; Leaders of specialized departments, units, and organizations under the Department; Leaders of the Department of Culture, Science and Information; Leaders of the Centers for Culture, Sports, Tourism and Communications of districts, towns, and cities and more than 500 actors and musicians participating in the Festival.
The festival will be held from April 2, 2025 to April 6, 2025 ( ie from March 5 to March 9 of the lunar calendar); the summary and award ceremony will be held on April 6, 2025 at the Festival Center Stage - Hung Temple Historical Site.
This year's festival has the participation of 13 mass art troupes, bringing to the people and tourists nearly 70 special performances to honor the good traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people - Lac Hong's descendants, praising the merits of the Hung Kings, praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the traditions of Phu Tho homeland; honoring good people and good deeds in the cause of national renewal; preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of the Ancestral Land.
The Phu Tho Mass Arts and Folk Song Festival serving the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of At Ty 2025 is an annual cultural activity of the Phu Tho Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism whenever organizing activities serving the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival. The festival is meaningful ineducating the tradition of patriotism, arousing the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"; propagating, introducing, promoting and honoring the cultural values of the Hung Kings' era; Xoan singing, teasing singing, folk songs, folk dances, and unique folk performances of the Ancestral Land and other regions of the country. At the same time, it is an opportunity for actors and artisans of the units to meet, exchange, share experiences, discover, explore and create new things in cultural and artistic activities to enhance and develop the local cultural and artistic movement.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, there were performances by four mass art troupes: Viet Tri city, Lam Thao district, Yen Lap district and Phu Tho town.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Thuy - Member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and delegates presented flowers and souvenir flags to the units participating in the festival.
