Opening of the traditional festival of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple in 2025

On April 3 (March 6 of the lunar calendar), the Management Board of Pho Hien National Special Relic Site coordinated with the People's Committee of Lam Son Ward ( Hung Yen City) to organize the opening ceremony of the traditional festival of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple in 2025. Attending the opening ceremony was comrade Pham Huy Binh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen City Party Committee.

Delegates, people and tourists from all over the world attended the opening ceremony of the festival.

The Temple of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan is one of 16 relics in the Pho Hien Special National Relic Site, worshiping the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, who is associated with the legend of "the Dragon's descendants" in the history of the Vietnamese people. According to historical records, in 1740, when Lord Trinh Doanh led his army to quell the rebellion in the Pho Hien area, he received a good dream from the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan to help him defeat the enemy. In gratitude for the National Ancestor's merit, the royal court ordered the construction of the Temple of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan (in Lam Son ward today).

The Lac Long Quan Temple has an area of ​​2,850m2 including the following construction items: Tam Quan gate, Ta Vu, Hau Cung and garden system. The relic still preserves a number of artifacts and worship objects of historical and cultural value. The annual traditional festival of the Lac Long Quan Temple is held to commemorate the merits of the Lac Long Quan Temple.
