Opening of the 2025 Nam Hai Guanyin Festival

On the evening of April 19, at the Quan Am Buddha Temple Area (Nha Mat Ward, Bac Lieu City), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province held a ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity, officially opening the Quan Am Nam Hai Festival 2025 - (photo).

During the 3 days of April 19, 20 and 21, the festival will feature activities such as: offering incense to Buddha, chanting, setting up a vegetarian altar to pray for the dead, praying for national peace and prosperity, the development of Bac Lieu and the people's prosperity and happiness... Currently, the Quan Am Buddha Temple is under renovation so no festival activities will be held.

This year, the festival took place on the weekend, so the number of visitors coming to visit, worship and participate in the rituals was very large. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, each year the festival attracts over 50,000 visitors to visit and worship.

The Nam Hai Quan Am Festival is one of the festivals with Buddhist cultural colors, showing the beauty of Buddhism accompanying the nation and is a typical spiritual cultural product of Bac Lieu.
