The 13th CAND National Art Performance Festival in 2025, Region IV, hosted by Kien Giang Provincial Police, in coordination with related units, has 117 performances with the participation of 23 National Art Performance Groups with over 900 officers, soldiers, actors, and artists from the following units: Competition Cluster No. 1 - Ministry of Public Security, headed by the Department of Internal Political Security; Department of Police for Education Management and Rehabilitation of Prisoners - Ministry of Public Security; Brigade 29 Information, Military Region 9, Ministry of National Defense ; Hanoi City Police; Can Tho City Police and Police of the following provinces: Hung Yen, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, An Giang, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Gia Lai, Kien Giang.
With the theme “80 years – Glory of the People’s Public Security”, the Festival is one of the cultural and political activities opening a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 – August 19, 2025).
The performances at the Festival focused on praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho; love for the homeland and country, the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security Forces throughout 80 years of building, fighting and growing up, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and implementing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security Forces; praising the spirit of solidarity and unity of the Public Security Forces and the Army, ready to overcome difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices for the peaceful life and happiness of the people.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General, People's Artist Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Public Security's National Art Festival, emphasized that the Festival is an opportunity for officers, soldiers, artists, and actors to exchange, learn, and expand culture between regions, between the Ministry's agencies and local police, between the People's Public Security Forces and the People's Army. At the same time, it is a place to demonstrate artistic talent, arouse enthusiasm and passion of officers and soldiers in the mass art movement from the Ministry to the grassroots. Thereby, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces to actively strive and train.
Major General, People's Artist Nguyen Cong Bay hopes and believes that, with a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and passion for art, officers, soldiers, artists, and actors will bring all their talents to perform and contribute to this Festival, making a good impression on officers, soldiers, and people of Kien Giang province as well as people across the country.
The festival will take place from April 19, 2025 to April 28, 2025. The best works will be selected to participate in the final round, scheduled to be held in May 2025, in Hanoi.
