The 2024 Year of the Dragon Spring Fair is a cultural and commercial event organized by the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ) during the Lunar New Year to enhance trade promotion activities and boost the consumption of products from businesses and cooperatives in the domestic market.

Simultaneously, introduce products that meet quality standards and ensure food safety and hygiene in production, processing, preservation, and consumption. Promote communication activities for the campaigns "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and "Vietnamese people are proud to use Vietnamese goods"; raise awareness and responsibility among businesses regarding the production, processing, and consumption of safe agricultural products and food. Introduce, preserve, and promote the beautiful traditional culture and cuisine of Vietnam.

With the theme "Spring of the Year of the Dragon - A Thousand Tet Gifts" , the fair features over 100 standard booths and more than 1,000 m2 of exhibition space, with the participation of over 100 units and businesses from Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sub-departments of Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Management, enterprises, cooperatives, research institutes and centers, agricultural product production facilities, handicraft workshops, and traditional craft villages from provinces and cities nationwide.

The fair showcases, introduces, and sells products from more than 20 provinces and cities nationwide: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dien Bien, Nghe An, Quang Nam, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Binh Thuan, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Thua Thien Hue, Son La, Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, etc.

With products of clear origin, reputable food safety control, and production according to VietGap and Global Gap standards, these products participate in the safe agricultural and food supply chain, are protected by geographical indications, and are OCOP certified, such as: bamboo shoots, vermicelli, wood ear mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms from Northwest Vietnam; pork sausage from Nghe An; squid sausage from Ha Long; agarwood and Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms from Quang Nam;...

The fair also displayed imported smoked and cold meats, as well as many herbal products, including reishi mushroom and ginseng tea, ginseng wine, honey, pollen, royal jelly, turmeric powder, black garlic, ginseng, Polygonum multiflorum, cordyceps, red dates, essential oils, handicrafts made from lacquer, horn, bronze, silk, rattan, wood carvings, and household goods.

To ensure the rights and health of consumers, the Organizing Committee has tightened input management, requiring products participating in the Fair to have clear and reputable origins, meet food safety standards, and comply with VietGap and Global Gap standards; products participating in safe agricultural and food supply chains; certified organic, organically grown, and certified as OCOP products of the locality.

In particular, with an outdoor exhibition area of ​​1,000 opening from January 25, 2023, it will be a place to introduce various types of flowers and ornamental plants that contribute to weaving vibrant colors, bringing spring to everyone and every home, such as: yellow and white apricot blossoms from Binh Dinh; yellow apricot blossoms from Ba Vi, various types of orchids: Phalaenopsis orchids from Da Lat, Phalaenopsis orchids from Phat Son, wild orchids, sun-loving Dendrobium orchids, willow flowers, gladioli, lilies… to serve the needs of people in Hanoi and neighboring provinces for Tet (Lunar New Year) flower and ornamental plant displays.

The Spring Fair of the Year of the Dragon 2024 will be open to visitors from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM from January 30th to February 7th, 2024 (corresponding to the 20th to 28th days of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Rabbit) at the Economic and Trade Exhibition Center, 489 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Hanoi. The outdoor flower and ornamental plant stalls will open at 8:00 AM on January 25th, 2024.
