Opening of the Fair to display, promote and introduce OCOP products at the Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival 2024

On the afternoon of April 26, at Hai Hoa Beach Resort , Nghi Son Town People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the Fair to display, promote and introduce OCOP products. This is one of the sideline activities organized by Nghi Son Town on the occasion of the 2024 Beach Tourism Festival.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of provincial departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities of Thanh Hoa province; People's Committee of Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province; People's Committee of Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province.

The space for displaying and introducing OCOP products at the Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival was organized with 40 booths of 27 registered units, including products and goods from many localities inside and outside the province, including Thieu Hoa, Nhu Thanh, Quang Xuong, Yen Dinh, Tho Xuan, Nga Son, Trieu Son districts, Thanh Hoa city, Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) and Thai Son tea cooperative from Thai Nguyen province.

Vice Chairman of Nghi Son Town People's Committee Trinh Tien Dung delivered the opening speech at the fair.

Speaking at the opening of the fair, Nghi Son town leaders said: Organizing a space to display and introduce OCOP products is one of the new features of this year's Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival.

Nghi Son town leaders presented flowers to congratulate OCOP units and entities participating in the fair.

This is an opportunity for cooperatives, businesses, and OCOP entities inside and outside the town to exchange and promote agricultural products, safe agricultural products, and regional culinary specialties of their localities to tourists and local people, in order to promote production and circulation of goods, aiming to build a large-scale, high-value commodity agriculture. At the same time, it contributes to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and brings a space for sightseeing and shopping experiences for tourists when coming to Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival.

Up to now, Nghi Son town has 26 OCOP certified products, including 5 4-star products and 21 3-star products of 12 entities, including 5 enterprises, 2 cooperatives and 5 production and business households.

It is known that in 2024, tourism activities will be organized in a very diverse and rich manner, imbued with the cultural identity of the nation and Nghi Son land, creating a highlight to attract tourists. In particular, the Fair to display, promote and introduce OCOP products is the opening activity for the series of events of the Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival in 2024. The Fair will take place for 6 days, from April 26 to May 1.
