On the evening of November 20, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak organized the opening ceremony of the Industry and Trade Fair and OCOP products - Dak Lak 2024.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha; representatives of relevant departments, agencies and 24 trade promotion organizations from provinces and cities across the country.

The 2024 Dak Lak Industry and Trade Fair and OCOP Products will take place over 5 days (from November 20 to November 24, 2024) at the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Center. This is a meaningful and practical trade promotion activity in a series of activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha emphasized that the 2024 Dak Lak Industry and Trade Fair and OCOP Products is an important event, marking an important milestone in the province's socio-economic development. This is an opportunity for provinces and cities across the country to introduce their potential, strengths, economic, cultural and social achievements; linking trade promotion, investment promotion, culture and tourism; meeting between investors and managers of the Industry and Trade sector to exchange and share experiences. At the same time, it is an opportunity for businesses to introduce products and promote their brands. This is also an ideal sightseeing and shopping destination, a bridge to expand economic and trade cooperation and expand the market.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha highly appreciated the participation and active contributions of departments, branches, localities and especially enterprises, cooperatives and production establishments. At the same time, he believed that the Fair would bring interesting experiences, opportunities for cooperation and success in the coming time.

The fair gathered 260 booths of 130 units from 24 provinces and cities nationwide, displaying and introducing typical rural industrial products, OCOP products, regional and local typical products; industrial products, small-scale industry, craft villages; handicrafts, agricultural products, food; essential consumer goods and other items; service booths...

Delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to open the Fair.

The fair will feature activities such as introducing the province's socio-economic development achievements; promoting and trading typical products and strengths of localities; trade promotion activities, signing economic contracts between investors and businesses, organizations and individuals; introducing scientific and technical advances in production to help consumers access quality products and services.

This is also a practical activity to effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines and policies on focusing on developing the domestic market, enhancing trade promotion, stimulating consumption and actively responding to the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in 2024 in Dak Lak province.
