Nghe An press has achieved many successes in professional activities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024, Mr. Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association said: The Spring Press Festival is an opportunity to continue affirming the achievements of innovation of Nghe An press and the press nationwide. This is also a place for journalists to meet and exchange with the press community, connecting the press with local authorities and businesses, creating conditions for people to enjoy the dedicated, creative and attractive press products of the press team in the past year.

"In 2023, Nghe An provincial press achieved many successes in professional activities, and was highly appreciated by the Ministry of Information and Communications for its level of maturity in digital transformation of the press in 2023. The provincial press agencies and many resident press agencies in the area have devoted a lot of time, written many profound articles and images, contributing to the socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the province. The coordination in orientation, direction, and gathering of the press team of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Journalists Association is increasingly synchronous and effective," affirmed the Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association.

Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association Tran Minh Ngoc also expressed his hope that press agencies in the province will make more creative efforts, pioneer in digital transformation, innovate management and production processes, improve the quality of staff in terms of expertise, professionalism and training of political qualities and ethics. The press must continue to affirm its role and position in leading and orienting public opinion, actively promote and encourage new role models, contributing with the Party Committee and people of the whole province to successfully implement Resolution 39 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045. At the ceremony, delegates conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Spring Newspaper Festival, officially opening the exhibition booth and reading the Spring Newspaper of Giap Thin 2024.
Awarding 42 works winning the 2023 Nghe An Province 'Golden Hammer and Sickle' journalism award
In 2023, in response to the Press Writing Contest on the theme of Party building called "Golden Hammer and Sickle" launched by the Central Committee, under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the "Golden Hammer and Sickle" Press Award of Nghe An province, the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications to issue an official dispatch to launch and develop the award rules, receiving positive response from a large number of reporters, members, and press agencies operating in the province.
Provincial leaders awarded second prizes to 8 works.
In addition to the 3 press agencies of Nghe An province, there are also 18 resident press agencies, 13 Cultural - Sports and Communication Centers of districts, cities and towns and 10 units outside the press agencies, collaborators inside and outside the province with works participating in the contest.
Out of thousands of published and broadcast works, press agencies and authors selected and sent to the organizing committee 133 works in 5 types of journalism: print, electronic, radio and television, and photojournalism.
In general, the works have comprehensively, vividly and multi-dimensionally reflected the work of Party building, political system building, and successful implementation of policies and resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels in Nghe An in 2023.
Many works have discovered and praised good deeds, typical and advanced cadres and party members to spread and encourage the movement; at the same time, they reflect existing problems, fight against negative behaviors, corruption, waste, contribute to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the province.
Third Prize awarded to 13 works.
The Jury of the Provincial Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, in the spirit of democracy, responsibility, honesty and objectivity, unanimously selected 42 best works to honor and award prizes, including 3 First prizes; 8 Second prizes; 13 Third prizes; 18 Encouragement prizes.
