This afternoon, December 13, in Dong Ha City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the People's Committee of Quang Tri province presided over and coordinated with central ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and cities to organize the opening ceremony of cultural, sports and tourism activities at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri province in 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the festival). The 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri province brings together 16 provinces and cities to participate: Bac Giang, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri.
Taking place from December 13-16, 2024, the activities at the festival create a particularly meaningful cultural space for cultural subjects, artisans, actors, and athletes of all ethnic groups to have the opportunity and conditions to meet, exchange, and share valuable experiences in preserving, maintaining, and promoting traditional cultural values, contributing significantly to building Vietnamese culture and people, creating motivation to realize the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country according to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.

“Coming to the festival, people and tourists will experience many cultural and sports activities rich in the cultural identity of ethnic groups such as: mass art festivals; performances of traditional ethnic costumes; performances, introductions and promotion of local traditional culture; display, processing and introduction of culinary arts; sports activities and ethnic folk games; tourism promotion and advertising activities; exhibition of photos of Vietnamese ethnic minorities accompanying the development of the country; exhibitions of cultural colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups...
Locals and tourists can also admire the beauty of traditional costumes, enjoy folk songs, vibrant and captivating dances; immerse themselves in the festival space associated with the spiritual life and beliefs of ethnic minorities. Participate in experiencing traditional sports and folk games; and explore the beauty of the land and people of Quang Tri and other provinces and cities.
This is a useful and healthy playground, creating a source of inspiration for artisans, actors, and athletes who are attached to and passionate about folk arts and traditional national sports.
