Opening of the 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship in Bac Giang

On the evening of April 15, 2025, in Bac Giang city, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Administration to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship - Donex Cup.

Mr. Truong Quang Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament delivered the opening speech.

The tournament gathered nearly 700 athletes and coaches from Pickleball clubs across the country, competing in 5 categories: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles; competing in amateur and professional categories; divided into 3 age groups (under 35 years old, 35 - 45 years old, 46 years old and above).

Pickleball is a new sport introduced to Vietnam but has quickly attracted the attention and participation of many people of all ages because of its appeal, ease of play and health benefits. The 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship in Bac Giang this time is an important event, marking a new development step of the Pickleball movement nationwide in general and in Bac Giang province in particular. The tournament is a playground for athletes to compete, demonstrate their talents, rub shoulders, and improve their professional skills; at the same time, it is an opportunity for athletes from clubs and localities to exchange, learn experiences, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to promoting the Pickleball training and competition movement to develop more and more widely throughout the country.

The Organizing Committee awarded souvenir cups to the two main sponsors of the tournament.

With the athletes' careful preparation in terms of technique and tactics, and the careful preparation from the Organizing Committee, the tournament promises to bring dramatic and exciting matches. The Bac Giang delegation participated in the tournament with 03 coaches and 87 athletes competing in the tournament's events and the set goal is to strive for the highest results.

Mr. Truong Quang Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang, Head of the Organizing Committee, presented souvenir logos to the sponsors of the tournament.

As planned, the tournament will take place from April 16-20, 2025 at the Pickleball court of 3/2 Square and the Pickleball court of the Provincial Training and Competition House (No. 1 Nghia Long Street, Tran Phu Ward, Bac Giang City)./.
