The festival with 100 booths created space for Hanoi artisans to display and introduce confectionery products for the Mid-Autumn Festival. At the same time, it attracted 40 businesses from 23 provinces and cities to introduce agricultural products, food, textiles, handicrafts, and household goods.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen stated that the festival is organized to preserve, conserve and promote traditional cultural values, providing children with a useful space to play on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival. More importantly, this activity also helps Tay Ho District promote tourism development and promote its image to visitors.
Similarly, HPA Director Nguyen Anh Duong shared that this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the complex developments of storm No. 3 caused great damage to the northern provinces, seriously affecting production and people's lives. In addition, the business community, especially production households in localities that suffered heavy damage due to the storm. Therefore, during this time, in addition to the efforts of the business community, support programs are needed to remove difficulties and promote production and business for businesses.
The HPA's coordination with the Tay Ho District People's Committee to organize the "Full Moon Festival and Trade Promotion linking tourism and local culture" will create opportunities for businesses to introduce typical local products, stimulate consumption, and restore production and business after the damage caused by storm No. 3.
The program is held from now until September 16 at the Bright Cultural Space on Trinh Cong Son walking street (Tay Ho). At the opening ceremony, the People's Committee of Tay Ho district presented 40 gifts to children in the district who are in difficult circumstances but have achieved excellent academic results.
