Opening of the first training course for planning cadres for the 14th Party Central Committee Executive Committee

Also attending were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung, Head of the class Steering Committee; Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, Permanent Deputy Head of the class Steering Committee.

The training and knowledge update class includes 50 students, starting from July 8.

Students will listen to and discuss 33 topics covering the country's current key issues such as the core issues of the Party's ideological and theoretical foundation; Party, State and political system building; economic, cultural and social development; national defense, security and foreign affairs; leadership and management science in the new context. The training program's content not only includes knowledge, but also equips students with leadership and management skills.

In addition to classroom time, all topics are arranged with discussion time, so that students have the opportunity to share their views and perceptions on the content of thematic reports, thereby deepening the theoretical and practical issues involved.

The Organizing Committee of the class presented flowers to the leaders of the Party and State.

On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Luong Cuong stated that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh taught that "Cadres are the root of all work", "All successes or failures are due to good or bad cadres". This is also the consistent viewpoint and strategy of the Party.

Given the nature and importance of personnel work, in order to improve the capacity, quality and prestige of cadres at all levels, especially at the strategic level, to better meet the requirements and tasks in the new period, the Politburo and the Secretariat have decided to organize a training course to update knowledge and skills for cadres planning to become members of the 14th Party Central Committee.

Organizing the class is the passion, responsibility and strategic vision of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for the training and fostering of strategic-level cadres of the Party and State; the hard work of preparation by many agencies and organizations in the entire political system.

In addition, the trainees are leaders and managers who are planned to become members of the 14th Party Central Committee. Under such conditions, the Standing Secretariat believes that the training course will successfully complete its set goals and tasks.

The Standing Secretariat asked the students to be deeply aware of their responsibilities in studying and training. “We must determine a serious attitude towards studying and well implement Uncle Ho's teachings: “Study to work, to be a human being, to be a cadre. Study to serve the organization, the class and the people, the Fatherland and humanity,” Standing Secretariat member Luong Cuong emphasized.

Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong requested that during the course of study, trainees should actively and enthusiastically exchange and discuss in order to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of new theoretical and practical issues; at the same time, share experiences in management and operation of those holding important positions as key officials of central agencies and provinces and centrally-run cities. The knowledge acquired from the training course will help trainees gain more knowledge and experience to successfully complete assigned tasks in the coming time.

On behalf of the trainees of the Training Class, Mr. Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Class President seriously accepted all the instructions of the Standing Secretariat; affirmed to promote the highest awareness, sense of responsibility, determination in studying, proactiveness, creativity, enthusiastic participation and complete well the objectives of the class.

The Central Committee organized a total of 4 training courses to update knowledge and skills for cadres planning members of the 14th Party Central Committee.
