(CPV) - In the 2024-2025 school year, Attapue Province (Laos) sent 79 officials, civil servants and students to study in provinces in Vietnam. Of these, 25 people came to study in Da Nang City with scholarships supported by Da Nang City. This is also the first school year that Attapue Province sent students to study language preparation at the University of Foreign Languages - Da Nang University.

On the morning of December 13, the University of Foreign Languages - Danang University held the Reception and Opening Ceremony of the Vietnamese language preparatory program for Laotian students with Danang city scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Da Nang City, the Department of Education and Sports of Attapeu Province, representatives of the People's Committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, the Center for International Cooperation Development and Foreign Affairs Services of Da Nang City, leaders of the University and functional departments and faculties of the University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang (UD-UD), representatives of some member universities of UD and a large number of Lao students at UD-UD.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha - Vice Principal of the University of Languages and International Studies - UD said that from the beginning of the 2023 - 2024 school year up to now, the School has enrolled and managed 352 international students (LHS). countries to study and participate in student exchange programs, cultural and academic exchanges. Choosing the University of Languages and International Studies - UD as the place for international students to study, research and cultivate knowledge has proven the prestige and academic reputation of the University to the international academic community.
The diversity of learners, including a large number of Laotian students currently studying and researching at the School, is proof that the School is gradually reaching out to the region, becoming a destination for many learners around the world , and they will be the ambassadors and bridges connecting Vietnam with their homeland in particular and friends around the world in general.
With the quality of training, the dedication of teachers as well as the efforts of students when studying at this school, students will realize that this is the starting point for the journey to conquer knowledge and realize their dreams and ambitions at this school. This is where students will acquire the most basic knowledge and skills to begin to master the future and destiny of their country in the period of international integration with the 4.0 technology revolution; a period where foreign languages and cultural exchange become one of the most effective tools for economic and social development.

Mr. Souksavay Khiephachid, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Attapeu province (Lao PDR) said that in order to expand and strengthen the friendship, comprehensive cooperation and special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam and to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation between Attapue province and Da Nang city, the implementation of receiving and opening the Vietnamese language preparatory program for Lao international students with Da Nang city scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year is extremely important in building and developing human resources for students of our Attapue province.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Attapue province sent 79 officials, civil servants and students to study in provinces in Vietnam. Of which, 25 people came to study in Da Nang city with scholarships supported by Da Nang city. Notably, in this school year, Attapue province divided students to prepare for Vietnamese language in Da Nang city in 2 places: 8 people at the University of Education - Da Nang University and 14 people at the University of Languages and International Studies - Da Nang University. This is also the first school year that Attapue province sent students to prepare for Vietnamese language at the University of Languages and International Studies - Da Nang University.
