On the occasion of the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays, people in the country are planning to travel to enjoy the 5-day holiday. Booking.com, one of the global leaders in the field of digital travel, has revealed the domestic and international destinations that are most searched by Vietnamese tourists during this occasion.

Coastal destinations or cool climates are leading the search trend. Booking.com's Travel Forecast 2024 report shows that 75% of Vietnamese travelers are looking for cool destinations to escape the heat as average temperatures continue to rise. This demand is clearly demonstrated by the sudden increase in searches for Da Lat, a city famous for its cool mountain air and peaceful landscape. Da Lat is also at the top of the list of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese travelers during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year.

Dalat is always the top destination for Vietnamese tourists who want to escape the heat.

In addition, up to 82% of domestic tourists expressed their preference for coastal destinations because of the relaxation they bring. This trend partly explains the dominance of coastal locations in the list of most searched domestic destinations. Topping the list is Da Nang - a city famous for its charming beaches and bustling nightlife, followed by Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hoi An, Phan Thiet and Mui Ne.

Not only domestic destinations but also neighboring cities in the Asia-Pacific region have attracted significant attention from Vietnamese tourists. Bangkok leads the list of international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists, followed by Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo. Thailand continues to be a popular choice for Vietnamese tourists, with 3 out of the 10 most searched destinations being cities in the Land of Golden Pagodas.

The top 10 most searched international destinations by Vietnamese tourists from April 26 to May 1 include: Bangkok. Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Taipei, Ubud, Hong Kong, Phuket, Chiang Mai.

The study tracked searches between March 17 and April 6, with check-in dates ranging from April 26 to May 1.
