Vietnamese tourists spend big on European tours to watch EURO 2024

According to some travel agencies, European tours combined with watching EURO 2024 football in Germany are relatively "picky" because of high prices and need to be decided quickly, as the costs that make up the tour price constantly fluctuate.

Mr. Do Van Thuc - Sales Director of Dat Viet Tour Company said that this summer the company will organize at least 3 groups of tourists to go on a tour to Europe to watch EURO 2024, the first of which will depart on July 3. To provide this special product, Dat Viet Tour has prepared the service since the end of 2023.

“Depending on the nature and attractiveness of the matches, the ticket prices to watch EURO 2024 fluctuate continuously. There was a time when a package tour to Europe combined with watching EURO 2024 cost from 120 to 150 million VND/person. We opened this product for sale about half a year in advance, when the ticket prices were much lower than now. At this time, tourists can still buy a tour to Europe and watch EURO 2024, but they should have a visa and need to pay immediately for the ticket to watch the match they want.”

According to Mr. Le Manh Hung - Director of VietCharm Tour Joint Stock Company, the tour to watch EURO 2024 was finalized early, the price has now increased a lot, but it can still be organized if customers have demand. Up to this point, VietCharm Tour has had customers buying a tour to Europe to watch EURO 2024, departing from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the first group on June 17.

Mr. Do Van Thuc said that the European tour combined with EURO 2024 is relatively difficult to do, because the most important factor is that the stadium tickets need to be paid 100% in advance, not to mention the possibility that Vietnamese guests will not receive their visas on time. Therefore, up to this point, the groups of guests must sign a contract and pay the entire cost before the company can book the service and buy tickets to the stadium. However, the market demand is still there and travel companies are still fully capable of organizing for guests to come to Europe and watch EURO 2024 matches.
